A yob who sparked a raid by armed cops after residents reported seeing him with a firearm – was actually carrying a SEX TOY, a court heard. Refer to NTI story NTIDILDO.
Ian Poulton, 33, (PICTURED) was arrested by 15 officers with machine guns wearing bullet proof vests accompanied by a specialist dog unit as he walked down a street in Telford, Shrops, on May 22 this year. Police swooped after they received panicked 999 calls from members of the public claiming he had a pistol tucked into the waistband of his trousers. But the operation went off half-cocked when cops discovered Poulton was actually in possession of a dildo. Poulton admitted possessing an item which had the appearance of a handgun with intent to cause fear of violence at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
