Slow Motion Goats (video)

The slow motion baby goat video you didn’t know you need…

Produced by Sunflower Farm Creamery this video celebrates the joy of baby goats hopping.

The amount of effort a baby goat puts into each hop is astounding, and only fully observed by slowing down their motion so you can see every twist and turn clearly. They leap so bravely forward. Even the youngest six who are one week old, are full of twists and turns and side kicks.

We are not sure why they hop, it’s possibly combination of skill development (as herbivores it’s important that they can elude predators with clever fake outs) and also probably to a large degree just for the joy of it.

What charm, especially with the ballet music! I never realised that sideways jumping was a thing with goats. Their jumps have a very ‘invisible bungee’ look about them too. ???

  2. The most riveting part for me starts at 4:55 when the kids try to jump and scale the bales of hay which then segues beautifully to them running away centering perfectly on the black one who majestically kicks his legs in perfect musical timing at 5:56. That was pure perfection. Bravo!

THAT WAS SO PERFECT! I didn’t know I needed exactly this for today! ???

Happy, healthy little animals. How can this not give you joy?

That truly WAS exactly what I needed to see during this crazy upside-down world today.
