The Japanese Man Who Identifies as a Dog
A man from Japan who identifies as a collie dog has spent $15000 on a lifelike dog costume.

The man known only as Toko, commissioned a movie prop company to make the custom made, lifelike costume, so he can crawl around as a dog.
In an interview in a Japanese magazine Toco said he’s always dreamed of “becoming an animal”. Thanks to his 2 million Yen costume of a Lassie dog, he is now able to fulfil that dream and become a man-dog.
Toco regularly shares videos of himself on social media, often being taken for a walk outside, but he never reveals his face. He says he’s worried what his friends might think of him.
“I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal.”
But his bravery at showing his costumes to the world have learnt him a lot fo fans with many posting supportive comments, such as.
Realistically, I think this is okay. I know that what he do are weird on other people eyes, as long as he doesn’t hurt anyone, it’s fine.
Don’t listen to the haters, do what makes you happy. Keep sharing your passions and living your dreams, Toco!
